This investment is crucial in order to compete in the world of modern industry.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is Operational Excellence? <\/h2>\n\n<p> Operational excellence consists of seeking <strong>the best performance<\/strong> in terms of organising one&#8217;s processes and tasks to achieve one&#8217;s objectives. These words are therefore synonymous with <strong>continuous improvement<\/strong>, <strong>effectiveness <\/strong>and <strong>efficiency<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p> This definition addresses a certain notion of <strong>progress <\/strong>but omits the idea of working on oneself. This step is necessary for an optimal result.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is the purpose? <\/h2>\n\n<p> Any industrial company that wants to grow, especially in Industry 4.0, and compete must adopt a <strong>strategy of continuous improvemen<\/strong>t. <strong>Small changes at different levels<\/strong> of the company improve its overall performance. It is a competitive lever for companies and reduces<strong> operational risks.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Some action plans <\/h2>\n\n<p> There are several techniques that address the notion of operational excellence such as the <strong>EFQM <\/strong>(European Foundation for Quality Management) model, <strong>Lean <\/strong>Management or 6 <strong>Sigma<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> Management of Work Standards<\/h4>\n\n<p> Work standards are part of the industrial <em>documentation that is essential f<\/em>or the functioning of the company. They describe the way in which operators shou<em>ld control their tasks to avoid or eliminate waste, delays or non-conformity.<\/em> Work standards must be regularly updated to ensure that they are always effective. <em>Digitalisation of documents<\/em> can enable the company to ensure better document management and to better implement process improvement opportunities.   <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> <br\/>Method A3: Problem solving<\/h4>\n\n<p> This method is based on breaking down the problem to find the right solution. There are <em>6 steps <\/em>in this process: <\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>     <em>Identifying <\/em>and clarifying the problem: why is it being dealt with? how did it start? etc.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>     <em>Definition <\/em>of the current situation and the objective to be achieved.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>     <em>Research and analysis of the causes of the problem: WWWWWH(what? when? where? who? why?how? ).<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>     <em>Searching for the 5 best solutions that have a positive impact on solving the problem.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>     <em>Defining the action plan: how will the required actions be implemented?<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>     <em>Monitoring the results<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As Industry 4.0 is today a guarantee of quality and also synonymous with performance, it cannot be implemented without an Operational Excellence approach.
